KLM Elite Coaches & Staff
KLM Elite Program Director - Marcella Daniels is a native of Chicago,
IL and was a cheerleader from 7th through 12th grade. Marcella is currently the Commissioner for the Kettering-Largo-Mitchellville Boys & Girls Club Cheerleading
Program. She has held this position for the past three years. Under her direction, KLMBGC’s cheerleading program has been ranked #1 in Prince
Georges County for 2005 and 2006. Marcella has been with the KLM Cheerleading program since 1997 and has held numerous positions: Program Secretary for one year, Cheerleading Coach for four years and Program Director for one year. She also participates with various programs in KLMBGC such as baseball, basketball,
football and soccer. Marcella has also been on the KLMBGC Board of Directors
for the past three years.
KLM
Elite Administrative Staff – Sharita Leathers is
the mother of 3 children that are active participants in the KLM Boys and Girls Club (KLMBGC) program. She has been volunteering her time with various sports since her oldest son (now 15) was 5 years old. She has served as a KLMBGC board member for the past 2 years and was “woman
of the year” in 2003. Sharita has volunteered wherever help was needed with the KLMBGC cheerleading program for the
past 2 years. This year she served as the Cheer gear coordinator for the program. She was responsible for direct contact with all parents, which consisted of the ordering,
collection of money and distribution of all cheer gear for the entire program. Although
challenging at times, it proved to be a rewarding experience for her.

KLM Elite Assistant Program Director &
Coach Donnella Rucker has 30 years of cheerleading experience under her belt. She
started cheerleading at Taft Jr. High School and Woodridge Warriors Boys & Girls Club both located in Washington, DC. Donnella continued her cheerleading career at McKinley Tech High School. In order to give back to her community, Donnella became
a volunteer cheerleading coach for the Woodridge Warriors Boys & Girls Club. She
headed up their program for four years until she moved to Largo, Maryland. Donnella became a cheerleading coach
for KLMBGC in 1994 and has spent the last 12 years nurturing and developing winning teams.
She also assists her husband in running the KLMBGC Mini Mix Basketball program.

KLM Elite Coach - Em’Ria J. Briscoe has over 25 years of cheerleading experience. Em’Ria started cheering at the age of seven with the Woodridge Pioneers, who
later became the Woodridge Warriors Boys & Girls Club in Washington, DC. Em’Ria also
cheered for McKinley
Tech High School. During
her tenure on the team, McKinley placed first in the DCIAA competition and during 1981; she held the position of co-captain
and was MVP. Continuing to keep the spirit, she cheered for Virginia Union University from 1981-1985, becoming Captain in 1984-85. After graduating,
she went to coach the Woodridge Warriors Boys & Girls Club. In 1998, she came to Prince Georges County to the Lanham Boys and Girls Club (LBGC) as Assistant
Commissioner and Coach. Em’Ria coached at LBGC until 2000. In 2000 Em’Ria helped start the Maryland Mystiques All star cheerleading program, where she coached
and handled administrative duties. Em’Ria has been very successful in each
program, especially with LBGC, being ranked number 1 and 2 in the county during her four years.

KLM Elite Coach: Adrienne Massey
KLM Elite Coach: Edith “Shawnee” Parker is a native
of Elizabeth, New Jersey. She attended Howard
University, cheering for three years, and
received the MVP award for the 1988-1989 seasons. Prior to her college
experience, Shawnee cheered in both middle school and high school where she was
the captain during her senior year. Shawnee
is in her 3rd year with the KLM Elite Cheer Program. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and a true passion for cheerleading.
